This video marks three decades of Ledingham Chalmers and explores our heritage, culture and what happens next, including our ambitious growth plans.
Our core values, which guide how we work with each other and our clients, are central to our approach.
And now we're looking for a sales negotiator to join our busy estate agency team in Aberdeen.
The role
Our sales negotiators are an integral part of our busy, thriving residential property team. You’re the main point of contact for clients from the moment a property’s listed until an offer is accepted.
Duties include —
Managing a portfolio of clients and their properties listed for sale
Establishing and developing a good working relationship with clients: keeping them fully updated on all activity associated with their property
Gathering viewer feedback and discussing with clients
Dealing with all notes of interest
Setting closing dates, where applicable
Keeping our property database and relevant sections of our website updated
Negotiating offers in order to achieve the best result for clients
Discussing marketing strategies with clients
Identifying where our additional estate agency services would benefit a client and making recommendations on a case-by-case basis, these might include valuation services, financial services, and mailing list opportunities
Our ideal candidate
You’ll be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and market knowledge that’ll satisfy and impress our clients.
No previous experience is necessary, we’ll give the successful candidate full training, although a keen interest in the residential property market would be beneficial, as well as a willingness to learn about the Aberdeen market. Experience in a client service role would be an advantage.
You’ll be able to establish good internal and external relationships quickly. You’ll also have excellent communications skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure, all the while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
Plus, you’ll be able to demonstrate strong administration skills, and be comfortable using software packages such as Microsoft Office and the ability to learn property databases.
