Apply for a grant through the Jopp Thomson Fund

The Jopp Thomson Trust was established to prevent and relieve poverty, providing assistance to individuals in need due to age, ill health, or disability, specifically those residing in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.

Ledingham Chalmers administers the fund, which aims to help those in need, particularly those with strong ties to Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.

To qualify for a grant, applicants must be in need of financial support. Preference will be given to women whose maiden surname is Thomson or Middleton.

While the amount granted varies each year, a total of £60,000 has been distributed over the last two years, benefiting an average of 30 individuals annually, usually in two instalments.

Full details of the application process, including eligibility criteria and required documents, can be found in the application form.
