Apply for a grant through the Jopp Thomson Fund

If you are — or someone you know is — in need of financial support because of age, ill health or a disability, you can apply for the Jopp Thomson Fund.

Ledingham Chalmers administers this fund, which was established to support those in need who live in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire and have long-standing links with the city.

Preference for financial assistance will be given to women whose maiden surname is either Thomson or Middleton.

While the amounts change annually, last year grants of around £850 were each given to approximately 20 people, which included £200 to reflect pandemic-related financial difficulties.
